Yes. If you completed your degree in India, you need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization such as WES or ICES. The ECA confirms your Indian degree is equivalent to a Canadian credential and awards the appropriate education points in your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. We can advise you which ECA body is best for your specific degree field.
For Canadian immigration, you can apply for an Indian Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) through the Passport Seva portal online (recommended) or in person at a passport seva kendra. If you are already in Canada or abroad, you can apply through the Indian consulate or high commission. Your RCIC will confirm which type of PCC IRCC requires for your specific application, as requirements can vary.
