Express Entry is the Canadian federal government's immigration management system for skilled workers seeking permanent residence. Candidates create an online profile and are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The highest-scoring candidates receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence through regular draws.
For skilled workers outside Canada with at least one year of continuous skilled work experience, language ability, and educational credentials.
For workers who have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years, with strong language skills.
For qualified tradespeople with a valid job offer or certificate of qualification and at least two years of skilled trades experience.
Your CRS score is calculated based on:
Age
Peak score between ages 20–29
Education
Canadian credential or foreign with ECA
Language Skills
IELTS or CELPIP for English; TEF for French
Work Experience
Canadian and foreign skilled work history
Provincial Nomination
+600 bonus points with a provincial nomination
Job Offer & Spouse Factors
Valid LMIA-exempt offer or qualifying spouse adds points
Eligibility Assessment
We review your work history, education, language scores, and age to determine which Express Entry program suits you best and calculate your estimated CRS score.
Profile Creation & Optimization
We create and manage your Express Entry profile to maximize your CRS score, including ECA guidance, language test strategies, and exploring PNP streams that award +600 points.
ITA & Application Preparation
Once you receive an Invitation to Apply, we guide you through gathering documents, completing the e-APR, and submitting a thorough, accurate permanent residence application.
Follow-Up & IRCC Communication
We track your application, respond to any IRCC requests, and keep you informed at every stage until you receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
There is no fixed minimum CRS score — IRCC sets the cut-off at each draw. Recent federal skilled worker draws have ranged from approximately 480 to 540+, while category-based draws can be lower. A Licensed RCIC can help you understand your competitive score and identify strategies to improve it.
Once you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), IRCC aims to process complete PR applications within 6 months. Total timelines depend on how long it takes to receive an ITA, which depends on your CRS score and draw frequency.
The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program is for foreign nationals with skilled work experience outside Canada. The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for those with at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience. The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is for workers in eligible skilled trades. All three are managed through Express Entry.
Yes. A Licensed RCIC reviews your profile and identifies strategies — such as language test improvements, provincial nominations (PNP), Canadian work experience, or adding a spouse's credentials — that can boost your CRS score and improve your chances of receiving an ITA.
